INTERNATIONAL MUSEUM DAY

17, 18 & 19 May

Fundação Cupertino de Miranda, Vila Nova de Famalicão

International Museum Day is celebrated annually on 18 May and was established by ICOM – the International Council of Museums in 1977, with the aim of encouraging reflection and discussion in society about the role of museums.
In 2025, the theme “The Future of Museums in Rapidly Changing Communities” highlights museums as active participants in promoting inclusive and sustainable communities.
In this context, the Fundação Cupertino de Miranda presents a special programme of events over three days of celebration.
