HALLOWEEN | Searching for Fear
During the Halloween celebration, also known as All Hallows’ Eve, we explore Fear — an emotional state marked by feelings of unease, insecurity, and danger. Paula Rego used to say that she painted to confront fear. On transparent paper, we will search for this emotion in the artist’s work and observe the diversity of forms that fear can take.
Objectives: To learn about the artist Paula Rego, to develop observation and interpretation skills, and to foster empathy.
Target audience: Preschool, primary, secondary, vocational, and special education. Seniors.
