Cadrave-exquis

SYNOPSIS

Technique invented by surrealists that goes back to the early 1920s and the beginning of Surrealism itself. The process provides surprise in the authors who are part of it and promotes a free association of images, which acquire surprising forms and connections. By definition cadavre-exquis consists of composing a sentence or a drawing on a piece of paper that is given folded to another person so that, without the latter being aware of what has been drawn or written, he or she may freely continue the text or drawing.
